I would also like an opportunity to chat with each of you to share your child's first days.
Instead of having a "surprise call", I'd like to narrow the time frames down for you. If possible, could you please send me an email with one of the following time frames available for a 5-10 minute phone call. Please also put the best number for me to reach you. ([email protected]) For whatever time you tell me, you can expect a phone call from me within that time frame. Calling times are as follows: Thursday, September 7th - 2:30 pm-3:00 pm Thursday, September 7th - 8:00 pm-8:30 pm Friday, September 8th - 2:30 pm-3:00 pm Saturday, September 9th - 8:00 am -9:00 am I look forward to talking to you about the first days of school. And...be sure to ask your children about our caterpillars and crysalises! The first day of school! Your children did an outstanding job starting new routines!
We read First Grade Jitters today, and we talked about having the jitters! We then had some Jitter Juice...which we found out is WATER! We all agreed that water can be an excellent tool for taking the jitters away. Speaking of water, please send your child to school with a water bottle. He/she may keep it at his/her desk. I just ask that it is in a spill proof non-breakable container. If your child's water bottle is small, please have him/her bring two! We learned about being Bucket Fillers! Be sure to ask your child what it means to be a Bucket Filler! Hello Families,
I am very excited for the new school year. It was terrific to meet your children on Thursday. If you were unable to attend, that's okay. I will see your children on Tuesday, September 5th. Please be sure that I have your child's dismissal plan. Bus routes can be found by accessing the school's website. For the first day...please make sure I have your child's dismissal plan, a folder with his/her first and last name on the outside, a snack, a drink, and that your child knows their lunch plan. i.e. "I have a lunch from home." or "I am having hot lunch." Water bottles are encouraged too! See you soon! Mrs. Veilleux |
