This week we will learn some pretty big economic terms with the help of our friend The Little Red Hen. We will read many versions of The Little Red Hen folktale. We will use these stories to learn about goods and services and producers and consumers.
Last week, we learned how to write opinions. We wrote opinions on many topics, and we also selected a book and wrote an opinion on the book! Our opinions on our books will be displayed in the hallway. Be sure to check it out! We will continue to work with this format this week.
Families, I am under the weather and will be out tomorrow, and I have a planned absence on Tuesday. A substitute teacher and Miss Kim will be running the classroom. Please take a moment to talk with your child about having a substitute teacher, and the importance of being the same wonderful students that they always are. It is sometimes difficult for the students to have someone new. Emphasizing our three rules...safe, respectful, and responsible with them will go a long way with making their day great. Let them know that I've planned a lot of great things for them to learn on Monday and Tuesday, and I look forward to hearing all about it when I see them on Wednesday.
