This week our reading and science work will be on animal habitats. On Friday, we will have our science class outdoors. Your child must have full winter gear to participate in this lesson.
Speaking of snow clothes, your kids have done an excellent job with their snow gear! The class has learned the snow clothes routine! The dry shoes that stay at school has been helpful for those who have selected this option. One less thing to carry and remember! We will have a regular spelling and homework routine this week. You can expect to see spelling words come home on Monday, a book or a chapter to read on Tuesday, and math work on Wednesday. Children should be practicing their spelling daily both at school and at home. I encourage you to use our digital resources to support our reading and math. The School to Home section on the Wonders Reading platform has some excellent printable practice sheets as well. Our Social Studies work will focus on the concepts of Needs and Wants. Be on the watch for information about collecting items for the New Boston Food Pantry. The information will come home mid-week. We have had a great response for our class party. This will be on December 20th at 1:00. Many expressed the ability to volunteer, so please come. If you didn't volunteer, but find that you are able to come, ALL families are welcome. I've decided that the first part of our party will be a Reader's Theater production that we will perform for you. We will be performing the story, The Night Before the Snow Day! I have explained our note writing to the class, and I have sent home a listing of our class members. These notes should come in on the morning of Friday, December 20th. We will be opening these in the morning. Comments are closed.
