Last week, we read stories about characters who helped their communities in different ways. We are writing our own helping stories too.
We want to help our community too. I will be talking to the students more about our annual Food Drive to support the New Boston Food Pantry. More information and a permission slip will come home later this week. This week we will continue our unit on measuring using non-standard units. We are learning to measure using items such as paper clips and cubes. We are learning to measure from end to end, to not gap and to not overlap. We are learning that it is important to use the same unit and not use units of different size. We are using language such as a "bit shorter" and a "bit wider". We will also be learning about mapping. I am hoping to get another science walk in this week. Please be sure that your children are prepared each day with the proper gear. If the conditions are right, we will be heading out to observe and identify different conifer trees. I'm looking forward to a GREAT week! Comments are closed.
