Today, students have been assigned a reading fluency passage. Please remind your child to practice before recording and submitting. We will continue our work with traditions. Your children should continue to work on their Memory Books. Your child should spend time working on the pictures and being accurate with their spelling and conventions. Our first grade memory signs are wonderful. If your child has not yet submitted it, please be sure that your child does this today. I will be using them to create an end of the year slide show. Speaking of the end of the year, there are two very special events going on next week. Zoom times will remain the same for Monday, but after that, our end of the year activities will begin. On Tuesday, it's all about reading. We will have a different ZOOM time...9:30 on that day. This ZOOM will be a grade level wide event. We will learn about the town's Summer Reading program. I will post Zoom info in an email. We will also be having our school-wide virtual Drop Everything and Read event in the afternoon. I will have a different ZOOM time on this day. Details to follow... On Wednesday, it is our NBCS Virtual Field Day. I will have a Snack ZOOM on this day. We will bring our snacks and talk about the events the kids have participated in. On Thursday, we will have our end of the year ZOOM. At this time, we will look back at our year and say our good byes. ******************************************** Here is video to let you know a bit more about our school-wide reading celebration. This event is traditionally organized by Mrs. Howe's and Mrs. Prive's classrooms. Thank you to these two classes for continuing to bring this to us virtually!
