We have learned about the position of the sun in the sky at different times of day.
We also did an experiment with ice. We generated questions about ice and then worked to find out what happens when salt is put on ice. Your children generate many fantastic curiosity questions. I encourage them to discuss these with you and to find out the answers to these questions through independent research and exploration. Here are a few examples of their questions... *Can ice be ice if there isn't any water? * Will ice stay ice at 10 degrees above freezing temperature? * What is dry ice? And there were so many more... I wish we could explore and research all of their questions, but I am also hopeful that their curiosity will get them exploring and researching outside of the school day. This week we will read folktales. We will be researching and writing about different animals. Our spelling pattern is quite tricky this week. We will practice a lot at school, but your children will benefit from a little bit more practice reading and spelling these patterned words. I'd like the children to wear their red classroom t-shirts this Thursday! Thank you! Comments are closed.
