Snowy weather brings new classroom routines. In my morning message tomorrow, I will remind kids to bring their snow clothes. Your child should come prepared each day with snow boots and dry shoes to change into, a jacket, hat, mittens or gloves, and snow pants.
On Tuesday, our special changes to P.E. Please pack sneakers on that day. This week, we will begin to explore measurement using non-standard units of measure. The kids will learn about using the same unit, and how we measure from end to end. We will explore length and width. We continue to work on our addition facts to 10. Our goal is automaticity with these facts. We are also exploring adding and subtracting to 20. I enjoyed reading their thoughts on jobs. Their opinions on jobs they would like to have and would not like to have were GREAT! This week we are continuing to read and spell words with short e, and also adding short u words too. We are getting stronger at retelling stories. We are working on sequencing our retellings. Our Social Studies work has been on Needs and Wants. We will continue with this and also learn about Goods and Services. I am so impressed with your children and their eagerness to learn! Comments are closed.
