As we return from Thanksgiving Break, I'd like to start getting the kids into the cold weather routine.
When the snow flies, boots will begin to come in, and with that, children will need a change of shoes. The kids are welcome to keep a pair of shoes here at school that they can change into. This will eliminate a bulky pair of shoes in the backpack, and can insure that your child will have a clean dry footwear option. Anything with a hard sole is okay. I would suggest a croc-style, hard soled slipper, or slip on style shoe. **However...P.E. is on Mondays. Children will need sneakers for this day.** Children are welcome to do the same with snowpants. If you'd like your child to have a pair of snowpants to keep here at school, that is fine too. Be sure to put your child's name in them. I'm hoping that having these two items on hand will make backpacks a little less full and that children will be prepared for the weather. Additionally, outdoor learning...aka Forest School will continue each Friday. It will be important for kids to be prepared with the proper gear for our adventures. Please let me know if your child will be bringing a pair of shoes and snow-pants to keep in the classroom. That way, I can be sure they exit the backpack, and I can help your child establish this new routine. Comments are closed.
