Today we continue to work with the concept of traditions. Children will listen to the Mem Fox story, Wilfrid Gordon Mcdonald Partridge. In this heartwarming story, the character learns what a memory is. Children will then begin a project to make their first grade Memory Book. Please have children spend the time on this to make it a lasting memory. This is a project that is expected to be completed by Friday, so they have several days to put thought and care into it. Children can save their work as a draft and return to it over the course of the week. Please support your child in making a quality attempt.
Our math work today is about finding the difference. Children will be working with money to find price increases. This is very tricky. I have also included an optional number comparison activity as a review. In today's 10 o'clock ZOOM, I will be reviewing the math lesson. Students who participate in the ZOOM, will have completed the lesson portion of today's math. They will then be ready to do the SEESAW math work. We will practice with money and then play a difference game together. We will also celebrate a class member's summer birthday! Please encourage your child to complete their XtraMath sessions and to try some activities from the Enrichment tab. Comments are closed.
