This week we will begin a reading unit on folk and fairy tales! We will read another version of The Mitten, and then compare it to the ones we read earlier in February.
On SEESAW tomorrow, your child's journal will look different. This week it will incorporate writing with Science, Technology, Art, and Math! On Monday, your child will be asked to create a leprechaun trap. They may use any materials that they have on hand and that are okayed by YOU. The traps will stay at home, as they will not be in class on the day the leprechaun visits. On Wednesday, they will be asked to write and share what happened. Did they trap a leprechaun? Did the leprechaun raise a ruckus! During our in-class days, we will share pictures and stories about what happened. Please be sure to post pictures via SEESAW, and we will share them when we are all together. Our math this week will focus on connecting our understanding of the Hundreds Chart to adding larger two digit numbers. You may have heard that we will be moving to a 4 day in person classroom schedule! If you have not yet filled out the survey that the school sent out on Friday, please do so by Wednesday. I am looking forward to the opportunity to have them here for four days a week! Another big step towards a return to normal. Comments are closed.
