We are finishing up our When Spring Comes Story Walk. I will send details mid-week as to where you can stop by to view the class's fantastic writing.
We are working on adding two digit numbers. We are working on showing how we can solve who has more, who has less number problems. We are also becoming proficient in identifying and explaining odd and even numbers. As we move closer to our 4 day in person school week, there are some things that may help the transition to go smoothly. School Lunch ~ If your child is ordering school lunch, please be sure to order it ahead of time. The school kitchen will now be producing double the amount of lunches daily. Each morning, the kitchen sends me a list of those receiving school lunch that day. Often times there are students who tell me that they are school lunch, but their family forgot to order. This then involves a phone call, and an interruption to our day to get the order straightened out with the kitchen. Forgets happen, but if we can limit this, it will be less confusing for both the classroom and the kitchen. End of Day Pick Up~ Although our classroom size is staying stable for now, the amount of cars coming to pick up children will be doubling. Although I am pretty familiar with most cars now, it would be helpful if all pick up families would put a sign in their window clearly stating your child's last name, my last name, and Door #5. This will help me to get your child to the door quickly, and keep the pick up line moving. I anticipate that more cars will make the pick up longer, so the sign will help to move things along! Your Turn Practice Books ~ If you have not yet done so, please return your child's Your Turn Practice book to school on Tuesday. Have a wonderful weekend! Comments are closed.
